The GTF Component Repair Industrialization team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join a cross-functional team dedicated to accelerating repair industrial capability across the GTF network. As the Repair Industrialization Tech Data representative, you will drive alignment, collaboration & priority between DSPs and ASE GTF organization (including design partners MTU & JAEC).

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
  • Advanced Degree with 7+ years of experience in Operations, Engineering and/or Technical role within an Aftermarket MRO or Aerospace Manufacturing environment; OR Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Travel: 10 - 15%

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in STEM field; Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering fields preferred.
  • Strong understanding of jet engine components, repair tech data, repair processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience industrializing repairs procedures within FAR145 regulated repair facility.
  • Strong technical and functional knowledge of turbine engines and/or Pratt & Whitney products.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams managing multiple projects simultaneously across time zones.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma).
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and influence leadership, peers, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive connectivity, collaboration, alignment & communication with Engineering to influence technical data development and advance repair industrialization initiatives.
  • Partner with ASE on industrial challenge solutions as well as communicate priority across the network.
  • Increase the visibility of repair revisions that are planned or working.
  • Establish a robust process for managing/reviewing/monitoring all new Eagle Net Cases (ENC) and provide additional context/background to ASE as needed.
  • Key lead for the draft tech data RFI process, facilitating communication & feedback from the DSPs, performing your own review, and compiling a comprehensive response back to engineering.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the overall process and drive execution of any changes needed.
  • Repair Industrial lead engaging with Sourcing and Engineering on new part/repair bid Q&A requests and responses. Also, serve as DSP bid award industrialization timeline validation lead ensuring feasibility prior to Sourcing DSP down selection & final award.
  • Assist ASE with understanding DSP capabilities that could drive tech data repair options/decision to mitigate the need for repair revisions.
  • Establish and manage an escalation process for critical DSP tech data needs, including executive communication.
  • This position is a new role that will require adaptability to evolve the job scope to maximize efficiencies & effective communication between Engineering, Repair Industrial and the DSPs.
  • Define the handoffs and integration points across swim-lanes.
