The GTF Repair Supply Chain organization is seeking a Sr. Manager, GTF Repair Supply Chain to lead strategic sourcing and supply chain management initiatives for the PW1100G-JM, PW1500G, and PW1900G engine programs. The GTF Repair Supply Chain organization is seeking a Sr. Manager, GTF Repair Supply Chain to lead strategic sourcing and supply chain management initiatives for the PW1100G-JM, PW1500G, and PW1900G engine programs. The GTF Repair Supply Chain team is responsible for developing the sourcing strategy and working closely with suppliers, partners, internal disciplines, and the GTF network across the globe to ensure the delivery of affordable, high-quality repaired parts that meet our customer's dynamic needs. Our team fosters an internal environment that thrives on utilization of continuous improvement tools, while ensuring our supply base meets performance standards, capacity requirements, and success in their lean journey. Other responsibilities of the organization include driving cost reduction, on-time delivery, quality, and optimizing material flow of parts for Pratt & Whitney GTF programs. It is essential for the selected candidate to understand and evaluate the impact of both strategic and tactical business decisions to best position the long-term sourcing strategy. The selected candidate should demonstrate an advanced understanding of the RTX aerospace business and play a key role in interfacing with internal and external customers to lead, coordinate, and implement strategic initiatives. Previous experience in supply management, a working understanding of a multi-cultural/multi-national customer/supply base, and a deep understanding of both the internal and external business landscapes will be beneficial. Strong interpersonal, decision making, and communication skills required along with excellent analytical and project management skills. This position will be onsite in our East Hartford, Connecticut office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and 10 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts Management, Business Development, Fleet Management, Commercial Aftermarket; OR an Advanced Degree and 8 years of experience as stated.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with suppliers and/or customers.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting contractual language.
  • Experience in project management and/or business process management
  • Demonstrated ability in collaborating with customers and suppliers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive Strategic Commodity Management experience (including contract negotiations, supplier management, and strategy development).
  • Strong organizational, communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills-cross functionally and up to executive level.
  • Experience with P&W Procurement Systems and Standard Work.
  • Experience working within the GTF Partnership or familiarity with the IAE LLC network
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience with MS Excel (V-lookups, Pivot tables, etc) and MS PowerPoint.
  • Aerospace product knowledge (processes, manufacturing techniques, quality requirements).
  • Advanced SAP experience with a focus on purchasing/related document flow.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

  • You will be directly involved in the execution of all repair sourcing activities, including Category 1 and 4 supplier management, leading and supporting negotiations, and analyzing proposals with the goal of obtaining the best overall service value for Pratt & Whitney and our MRO Partnership network.
  • As the repair sourcing lead for Category 1 and 4 supplier management, you will own the strategy and be the escalation focal across all GTF programs for both strategic and tactical business decisions by working cross-functionally with program, materials, engineering, legal, industrialization, finance, OEM supply chain, and other key functions.
  • Support implementation and manage the operationalization of all awarded repair services and developing, tracking and enforcing plans for repair industrialization, in collaboration with the industrialization teams.
  • Following source execution, you will be actively involved in cost and spend analysis, supplier performance reviews as well as leading other critical sourcing projects.
  • Become versed in the repair market needs to ensure the repair network has the capacity and ability to perform repairs specific to the GTF engines parts.
  • Engage with the engineering community to be aware of the failure modes and performance of the various engine modules. In depth analysis into capability and capacity requirements to support these modules will remain a key focus during the early years of the product lifecycles.
  • Drive key strategic projects, from project creation and identification thru release, focused on 3 key pillars of the organization - capacity, capability and profitability.
  • This role is considered highly visible and will require frequent interactions with Sr. Leadership across Pratt & Whitney and the Network members.
  • You will require exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to meet the rigorous interaction between our Pratt & Whitney discipline leaders, IAE LLC engine partners and our network of repair suppliers.
  • You must possess the ability to develop and foster positive working relationships while maintaining customer and organizational priorities, possess strong initiative, strategic leadership, and be able to work independently.
  • You will have demonstrated supply chain experience, with a proven track record of cost management experience, project management, and contract/LTA development/execution.
