About The Position

The Technical Associate is a developmental professional role designed for individuals acquiring advanced expertise in technology architecture, systems engineering, and consulting. Working within the structured professional learning environment of the Associate Academy, the Technical Associate builds the specialized technical and analytical skills necessary to design and recommend complex technology solutions that address customer and business challenges. Under general supervision and while partnered with a sales team, the Technical Associate applies developing professional knowledge, discretion, and judgment to real-world technology and business scenarios, progressively assuming greater responsibility and independence as skills advance. Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of enterprise technologies, systems integration, and solution design principles.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving skills through academic, professional, or military experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for articulating technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Proven ability to learn and apply complex technical and analytical concepts within a structured professional environment.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment appropriate to experience level when analyzing and resolving technical challenges.
  • Ability to travel 10%

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured, comprehensive development program that combines formal instruction, mentorship, and hands-on project experience.
  • Learn to apply theoretical and practical knowledge of information technology to analyze, design, and recommend integrated solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct guided research and evaluations of emerging technologies, assessing their applicability to customer and enterprise environments.
  • Support the design and documentation of architectural solutions, including Statements of Work (SOWs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and implementation frameworks while completing rotation with the Technical Operations Center of Excellence (TOCE).
  • Develop proficiency in exercising professional judgment to select and adapt methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to meet technical requirements.
  • Participate in client engagements, assisting with discovery, requirements analysis, and the development of technical recommendations and ROI analyses.
  • Support the creation and presentation of solution designs, articulating technical and business benefits under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Professional Services, Engineering, and Architecture) to develop scalable and cost-effective technology solutions.
  • Assist in the preparation of professional documentation—including proposals, technical white papers, and solution diagrams—contributing to organizational knowledge and business development.
  • Engage in rotational experiences across business units to broaden technical expertise, consulting skills, and enterprise understanding. This includes Sales, GS&A, and TOCE.
  • Demonstrate increasing levels of autonomy, professional accountability, and technical depth as learning milestones are achieved.
