Summary The Technical Account Manager (TAM) serves as a trusted technical advisor and primary point of contact for Cyber74 customers. This role bridges pre-sales, delivery, and ongoing account management by ensuring customer needs are accurately scoped, proposals are aligned to technical and business objectives, and projects and renewals are successfully managed through completion. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically fluent, organized, and proactive in managing relationships, opportunities, and long-term customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in technical account management, solutions engineering, sales engineering, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience creating scopes of work (SOWs), proposals, or technical service documentation.
  • Strong understanding of IT services, cybersecurity services, managed services, or consulting environments.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and service offerings.
  • Experience managing multiple customer accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent professional experience in technical, security, or consulting roles will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Professional certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Preferred certifications may include: CompTIA Security+ ITIL Foundation Cloud fundamentals such as AZ-900, SC-900, MS-900, or AWS Cloud Practitioner Candidates with partial, in-progress, or equivalent certifications are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the relationship owner for assigned customer accounts.
  • Lead scope development and proposal creation, including defining technical requirements, deliverables, timelines, and assumptions in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Participate in pre-sales calls to understand customer objectives, gather technical requirements, and present Cyber74 solutions.
  • Support sales efforts by validating solution approaches, answering technical questions, and ensuring alignment between customer expectations and service offerings.
  • Track and follow up on active pipeline opportunities, open proposals, and ongoing discussions to drive timely decisions.
  • Manage project renewals, contract extensions, and recurring service engagements to ensure continuity of service and customer retention.
  • Conduct regular customer check-ins and post-engagement follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the internal advocate for the customer by coordinating with delivery, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure smooth handoffs from sales to delivery and from delivery into ongoing account management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account, opportunity, and engagement information in CRM and internal tracking systems.
  • Identify opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, or expanded services based on customer needs and engagement history.
  • Provide feedback from customers and partners to internal teams to help inform service improvements and strategic direction.
  • Build strong professional relationships with customer and partner operating companies to support collaboration and long-term success.
  • Represent Cyber74 at industry events, conferences, partner meetings, and customer forums as needed
