You’ll help individuals gain essential technology skills, access reliable computers, and build confidence in a digital world. Every class you teach and every question you answer helps remove barriers and creates new opportunities for those we serve. General Description of Duties: Responsible for training Diverse IT clientele on basic technology skills Provide over-the-phone and in-person instruction Answer questions and track trainings in CRM system (Salesforce) Respond to calls, voice messages, and in-person visits Track requests for computers, training classes, and computer repairs Conduct training for members of the public, students, and on-the-job trainees Train small groups or individuals one-on-one, in person or online Cover topics such as computer operation, avoiding scams, social media usage, computer assembly, etc. Assist in refurbishing computers, loading software, and preparing systems for donation Set up appointments with recipients and provide basic orientation on computer usage Handle donations of IT equipment including fielding calls and emails, picking up donations, sorting and organizing materials

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in IT or related field
  • Knowledge of advanced computer software applications, basic computer hardware, and basic Accounting principles required
  • Must pass background/fingerprint investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid NM driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance.
  • Must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record.
  • Must be able to occasionally sit, walk, climb and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, crawl, reach above shoulders, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull, and, and carry as required to perform essential job duties.
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination to complete and demonstrate computer repairs.
  • Must have the ability to maintain harmonious, courteous, and considerate relationships, while fostering a collaborative teamwork environment with both agency employees and the public, and to present a friendly, courteous image for the Agency to the general public, customers, and public officials.
