  • Perform engineering for new circuit installations, modifications, and deactivations.
  • Provide technical and operational support to end-user services, network expansions, and modernization of telecommunications backbone systems.
  • Provide problem resolution for all hardware and software elements of the data communication circuits maintained by the work center to include Commercial and GFE owned networks.
  • Provide outage and restoration information as required to include restore times.
  • Ensure the availability of the circuits in coordination with others work centers as required.
  • Perform status updates and circuit monitoring as required.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technically strong and able to make quick, sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must.
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Valid DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM II certification. i.e current Security+ certification.
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Education and experience requirements may be substituted with: A master’s degree and the ability to attain a Security+ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification within 6 months.
  • No degree with 6 years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to task and a current Security+ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification.
  • This position requires a minimum of two years’ of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing and a positive customer service attitude
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR
