This position assures consistent quality of product, for the company’s brands, by enforcing effective quality control checks of materials, components and assemblies. This position reports to the Vendor Relations Manager WHAT YOU’LL DO Independently verifies quality standard of all production and shipment samples. Responsible for ensuring grading, tolerance and spec measurements are correct. Verifies trim, style, color & artwork are accurate to order. Applies technical knowledge of garment construction, fabric, trims, and details for approval. Reviews quality inspection testing and test data reports to ensure all regulatory standards are met. Provide prompt alerts and/or solutions for non-compliant shipments. Appraise and determine the need of chargebacks. Collaborates with Receiving department and Merchants daily. Ensure Purchase Order information is in all applicable systems to process. Responsible in updating department reports throughout the day. Participate in the construction and revisions of SOPs. Performs other job duties as needed. WHAT YOU’LL NEED 3 - 5 years of experience in quality control, spec technicalities, pattern making OR experience working in a retail production environment. Degree preferred, but not required. Tradestone and/or other PLM system experience preferred. Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator Ability to read and interpret spec sheets Ability to work in a fast paced, multi task environment. Strong organizational and time management skills Strong PC skills Excellent follow-up skills and ability to trouble-shoot Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure. Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues.
