About The Position

Love the smell of fresh coffee and the sound of milk steaming? Looking for a fun, positive place to work with great people and a chance to learn barista skills? Join our team at Brews & Blends, located inside the Blue Springs Fieldhouse! We’re looking for enthusiastic Team Members who are friendly, dependable, eager to learn, and excited to serve delicious drinks and snacks to our guests. Enjoy competitive pay, flexible shifts, and a welcoming work environment — all while gaining valuable customer service and food service experience. This is a Part Time position.

Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older.
Jackson County Food Handler certification (provided by the City if not already obtained).
CPR & First Aid certification (provided if not already obtained).
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Good judgment and decision-making.
Ability to remain calm, friendly, and professional under pressure.
Ability to follow instructions and maintain safety standards.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Frequent walking and use of hands for operating café equipment.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous food or beverage service experience preferred, but not required — we’ll train you!

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, outgoing, and professional customer service.
Greet guests, take orders accurately, and prepare coffee, smoothies, and café menu items.
Operate the register, handle payments, and balance the cash drawer.
Maintain a clean, organized café area including counters, equipment, and seating areas.
Follow safe food handling rules and sanitation procedures.
Restock supplies and communicate inventory needs to supervisor.
Follow opening and closing procedures consistently.
Attend training and staff meetings as scheduled.
Respond calmly and appropriately in emergencies.
Promote a positive atmosphere and uphold City and facility policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
