Job Purpose: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee the successful and safe production of manufacturing equipment and departments. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 30 plus employees, ensuring that all production goals are met while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant sanitation practice experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of previous leadership experience.
  • Proven leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position.
  • Consideration for existing employees will include overall employment record to include, attendance, evaluation, discipline, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Leads team members by managing and executing plant processes.
  • Manages team members in attaining sanitation, production, and quality goals.
  • Ensures appropriate resources (including materials, equipment, and staffing needs) are available to maintain sanitation schedules.
  • Supports continuous improvement processes to ensure that goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service are met.
  • Creates and maintains an engaged and team-oriented work force to improve business results.
  • Supervising department setup and tear downs and conduct preoperative inspections.
  • Provide for relief of the supervisor in his/her absence.
  • May be initially assigned to one area of the plant operations but requires the ability to work flexible shift hours and departments in accordance with the needs of management.
  • Requires the ability to take on other such work assignments which include but are not limited to, computer data entry, timecards, work scheduling, Safety and GMP compliance audits, etc.
  • Ensures safety training, procedures and observations are conducted daily for all employees.
  • The position is very hands-on; supervisors are usually in the production area "on-their-feet" about 80% of the shift monitoring and supporting their team with guidance.
  • Position will be focused on administrative responsibilities such as assisting with schedule, audits, and other administrative duties.
