Restaurant & Sustainability Team Leaders are an integral part of restaurant operations and are responsible for leading the floor service, assisting management with operational needs, promoting teamwork amongst staff, supporting our Commitment to Zero sustainability and recycling efforts, and maintaining service quality and safety to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Previous restaurant, supervisory or guest service experience required
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English

Responsibilities

  • Attend to all guest needs in the restaurant, ensuring responsive, friendly, and courteous service
  • Answer phones and radio; work directly with other personnel to maintain the dining areas, including set-up and bussing of tables as needed
  • Work on the floor or in the kitchen, wherever needed, to ensure smooth operation
  • Act as supervisor in the absence of a chef, including managing payroll and attendance
  • Support execution of Commitment to Zero programs at the outlet with guidance from the resort Sustainability Manager
  • Assist in the ongoing training of staff and provide necessary feedback, including the training of staff around Commitment to Zero programs and related expectations
  • Ensure outlet loading dock is maintained to support organization, cleanliness, and coordinate appropriate pick-ups of waste with the Warehouse
  • Enforce and comply with all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Ensure cleanliness and operation of the restaurant and equipment through inspections and maintenance, including regular assessment of outlet waste system and diversion programs
  • Support waste sorting at the outlet waste stations when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
