About The Position

Under general supervision as a Team Lead, coordinates the daily support operations of a single clinical area or group. Primarily acts as a Medical Assistant and performs the full duties associated with this role. Is a resource for other support staff and may fill in for staff as needed to provide appropriate coverage of the department. Takes lead role in ensuring department workflow is of a high quality.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is strongly preferred if the job is in a patient-facing clinical capacity. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
  • Experience typically acquired through three years in a clinical setting with at least one as a Medical Assistant (a bachelor’s or associate degree may be substituted for one year of experience).
  • In depth knowledge of specialty’s area required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and medical professionals required.
  • Has sound judgment with the ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has demonstrated leadership potential.
