A Day in the Life Medtronic is seeking a highly motivated and supportive Team Lead IV to join our Danvers location in Extrusion operations. In this role, your primary focus will be leading daily activities, assigning tasks, supporting training, monitoring workflow, and resolving issues to keep production moving smoothly. You'll partner closely with supervisors, coordinators and quality teams to uphold standards, maintain accuracy in documentation, and promote a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment. This is an ideal role for a current Medtronic production operator with prior mechanical experience to transition into a technician role. As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant manufacturing or operations experience (in order to be considered for this role, please make sure your resume includes a minimum of 8 years work experience).

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production team activities including work processes, packaging, LHR review, and other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Prioritize operator assignments in alignment with the build schedule to meet production goals.
  • Serve as the first line of support for production issues, escalating and providing status updates to the supervisor as needed.
  • Coach and mentor operators on assembly techniques, problem-solving, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Assist with technical tasks including machinery setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure adherence to Medtronic's strict quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Support inventory management activities and accurate system transactions within ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts and provide input on adjustments to enhance team effectiveness.
