About The Position

We are seeking a Production Team Lead to work at one of our facilities. The Production Team Lead reports to the Production Supervisor and exercises direct control over a Production department and coordinates with other Production Supervisors. As part of your role you will be responsible for: Directing, coordinating and planning the activities of a specific production department under master production schedule and the hourly work force (including machine operators, i.e., milling, mixing, canning equipment, etc.) involved in the manufacture of product Serving as lead person for a group of hourly employees utilizing established methods, normally to a maximum of 15 employees Communicating procedures to all subordinates, assuring they are understood and implemented when applicable Interpreting statistical reports, cycle time specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties Additional assigned duties as directed by Production Supervisor or Production Manager. This is a 3rd shift position. Hours are 11:00 pm - 7:00 am, Sunday - Thursday

Requirements

  • Have 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • Have a High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have manufacturing, warehouse and supervisory/managerial experience
  • Demonstrate mechanical skills and knowledge of Production processes
  • Have excellent math skills, as well as oral, written, reading and comprehension skills in order to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs (MS Office) and other computer skills
  • Have prior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team and delivering performance metrics through others
  • Possess strong skills, knowledge, and capability in Manufacturing principles such as OEE, Lean, or TPM

Nice To Haves

  • SAP Knowledge
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
  • Proficiency in Spanish, Polish, or sign language
  • Manufacturing Program Planning and Coordination
  • UV/TP/OSF (Ink) Manufacturing knowledge
  • Have worked in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Inventory Control
  • Experience with Change Management
