About The Position

The Department of Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks to hire an intermittent Teaching Assistant Professor to support instruction in our microscopy laboratory course and in BIOL 395H during the Spring 2026 semester. Responsibilities Microscopy Laboratory Course Prepare hardware and samples for laboratory demonstrations and activities. Microscopy and BIOL 395H Deliver lessons that cover the course objectives as stated on the course syllabi, following the dates of the UNC -CH academic calendar. Assess student learning through exams, projects, homework, or other assignments as specified in the course syllabi. Provide help to students during scheduled office hours. All activities will be done in coordination and collaboration with course faculty instructors.

  • A PhD in the biological sciences or a related field of study.
