About The Position

The Division of Life Sciences, Rutgers, The State University, Piscataway/New Brunswick campus, has an opening for an annually renewable, non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor position starting in the Fall 2024 semester. Primary responsibility will be teaching General Microbiology Labs and other courses aimed at both life science majors as well as non-majors as needed. A Ph.D. in a relevant life sciences discipline and experience teaching at a University level are required. Experience teaching with a class size greater than 100 students and experience in the implementation of active learning pedagogy is preferred. We particularly welcome applications from candidates committed to promotion of equity and inclusion through their teaching methods, service to the university and community, and mentorship within one of the most diverse university communities in the country.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a relevant life sciences discipline
