About The Position

Work with students to help them learn concepts in government and economics, including civic responsibility, economic principles, and real-world applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education
• Hold an appropriate Tennessee certification license with endorsement in Government and/or Economics
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Effective decision-making and verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide an instructional program that is differentiated.
• Commitment to high student achievement & support for all students.
• Knowledge of government and economic concepts, including civic engagement and financial literacy.
• Ability to exercise various teaching strategies to increase students’ critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Create a secure classroom climate.
• Analyze data and adjust your lessons accordingly.
• Plan, develop, implement, and monitor with student success as your goal.
• Use available technology in your lessons.
• Communicate effectively with parents and students.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Principal.
