PRIMARY PURPOSE The Tea Server shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. This position will warmly greet and serve our guests as they arrive for Tea Server are responsible for taking food orders, answering guest questions, and helping maintain the dining room during service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS · Provide a warm and welcoming first impression by greeting and assisting all guests upon arrival. · Confidently communicate information regarding tea service, menu offerings, pricing, and dining experience. · Communicate with guests regarding allergies and dietary preferences. · Prepare and maintain dining room setup to meet established presentation and service standards. · Stock and organize service stations with all essential items required for smooth operations. · Operate point-of-sale · Respond to guest questions and provide clear directions or assistance as needed to enhance the overall guest experience. · Uphold and consistently maintain established service standards to ensure a high-quality tea service experience. Additional Responsibilities · Participate in Navigators’ on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings, or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate. · Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization, and other releases as required. · Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system. · Other job-related duties as assigned. CORE COMPETENCIES Collaboration, customer service, detail oriented, self-motivated (minimal supervision), analytical, flexible, able to troubleshoot complex issues, conceptual thinking, strategic planning, forward thinking, decisive and confident, able to maintain focus in a stressful/noisy environment, etc…, able to perform routine tasks for long periods of time. MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators. (Knowledge of Navigator missions, ministries, and networks preferred/required) if applicable Experience: This role requires strong organization & time management skills with an emphasis on customer service. 2 years of experience in customer service Technical Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office, Workday HCM, iCIMS, etc… Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required. Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent required.
