About The Position

As a Torque Converter Handler in the receiving department, you play a big part of the team by providing torque converter cores for remanufacturing which is key and very important in the remanufacturing process of transmissions. Your day will be spent removing, identifying, sorting, and collecting torque converters from core units and various locations. You will also be counted on to assist your team and provide support for the TC Core Specialist. Requirements

Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented, automotive/mechanical ability a plus.
Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times and may have to work with chemicals.
Skill and ability of working with your hands, manual tools (must provide your own) and other instruments.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8+ hours a day and under pressure at times.
Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision-making skills.
Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others.
Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

Remove torque converters from received transmissions.
Identify and sort torque converters by source (i.e., remanufactured in house, another vendor, etc.)
Collect torque converter cores from various departments, such as warranty, dyno failure, and prewash.
Remove plates and hubs from torque converters as needed.
Read, understand and follow detailed work instructions, processes & procedures, keep an even workflow.
Provide support for the Torque Converter Core Specialist
Keep department clean of trash, loose debris and dirt, sweep and mop job areas throughout the day.
Suggest improvements, help train new personnel, communicate all issues, work overtime when needed.
Follow directions from team leads, supervisors and managers, be proactive and helpful.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily.
