The Role: Step into a high‑impact CAD Engineering role where you’ll shape the automation backbone of Cirrus Logic’s cutting‑edge silicon development. As a CAD Engineer, you’ll build and refine the software that powers our RTL Quality Flow—directly enabling world‑class mixed‑signal and digital design teams to move faster, smarter, and with precision What You’ll Own & Create This isn’t a maintenance job—this is where you architect smarter workflows, champion new design methodologies, and elevate how an entire organization designs silicon. You will:

Requirements

  • Advanced engineering foundation: Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering (or related field) with ~5+ years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s with ~7+ years; OR a PhD with ~3+ years.
  • EDA automation expertise: At least 3 years of hands‑on experience automating Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools using SKILL, Lisp, TCL, or similar APIs.
  • Flow‑builder mindset: 3+ years building custom EDA automation flows that integrate tools from Cadence, Synopsys, Real Intent, and more—designing smarter workflows and enabling new tool capabilities.
  • Software‑meets‑semiconductor skillset: 3+ years applying advanced software development skills to analyze tool behavior, synthesize results, and generate clean, user‑friendly documentation that empowers design teams.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer the automation layer of the RTL Quality Flow—building software that seamlessly launches and orchestrates vendor EDA tools.
  • Empower digital and mixed‑signal teams by supporting and evolving CAD tools and methodology flows for top‑tier verification.
  • Automate next‑gen design & verification pipelines, helping teams eliminate friction and focus on innovation.
  • Partner with leading EDA vendors to influence tool improvements, fix issues, and shape the future of RTL design flows.
  • Drive alignment across business units to define best‑in‑class design methodologies used globally within the company.
  • Guarantee correctness and reliability by validating CAD flows, ensuring smooth and accurate signoff every time.
  • Collaborate closely with design & technology teams to set the criteria that determine when a design is truly ready to move forward.
