We are seeking a Tax Senior Manager to manage all Firm tax accounting functions and guide a talented team toward excellence. In this role, you will oversee complex tax compliance and planning for the Firm and its affiliated entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full regulatory compliance. Beyond technical expertise, you’ll play a strategic role—driving process improvements, leveraging technology for efficiency, and shaping the Firm’s tax strategy in collaboration with senior leadership. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive tax experience, including leadership responsibilities in a public accounting or corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations; experience with tax planning, compliance, and audits.
  • Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex tax laws, identify risks, and provide strategic solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation, review, and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns for the Firm and affiliated entities.
  • Manage quarterly state and city tax estimates for the Firm and affiliated entities
  • Leadership role in the Firm’s annual partner 1040 preparation program, including signing responsibility for designated partner returns
  • Drive tax planning, research, and periodic meetings with Firm leadership regarding Firm tax matters
  • Provide support for IRS and state income tax examinations.
  • Supervise and develop staff through training, delegation, feedback, and career planning
  • Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and standardization.
  • Conduct training sessions and regular status updates to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
