About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager with substantial experience in income tax provisions. This role is crucial for the completion of federal income tax returns, state income and franchise tax returns, quarterly estimated income tax calculations, as well as ASC740 and FIN48 calculations. The Senior Tax Manager will work closely with the Senior Director of Tax and oversee two team members, while participating in various tax projects throughout the year.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in public accounting or private industry with increasing responsibilities in Tax.
• Experience in tax planning, research, tax return preparation, and ASC 740.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Experience with income tax accounting and ASC 740.
• Proficiency in preparing consolidated income tax returns for a public company.
• Proficiency in preparing state income tax returns for multi-state companies.
• Experience with tax return preparation software including OneSource or Corptax.
• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated self-starter with supervisory experience and leadership capabilities.

Nice To Haves

• CPA credential is a plus.
• Experience with Corptax software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or oversee the preparation of federal and state tax returns and supporting tax calculations.
• Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly ASC 740 and FIN 48 calculations.
• Review and analyze state income and franchise tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payment calculations, and other compliance calculations.
• Conduct thorough tax research and prepare analysis of various findings.
• Assist with tax audits and tax planning projects.
• Oversee Unclaimed Property reporting.
• Manage the filing of the Company’s Annual US State and Canadian Provincial Reports.
• Participate in other projects as they arise.
