About The Position

Complete all aspects of sales and use tax, property tax and local licensing for clients including status updates to managers, timely filings, and payment submissions Demonstrate understanding of the client's business including basis of sales, fixed assets to be reported, and potential audit risks Identify and implement process improvements of the compliance function for sales and use tax as well as property tax Complete assigned tasks within the time requested, explain variances when needed Achieve charge hour goals Assist associates with sales and use tax or property tax work; provide constructive review points May supervise Associate's on engagements Train and mentor associate staff May be involved in the client billing process by assisting Managers or Directors Identify and begin to develop knowledge in audits or taxability research and advisement as they relate to sales and use tax or property tax Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen blending cross serve opportunities into client engagements Execute administrative duties as assigned Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred
  • 2 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • CPA candidates preferred
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
