About The Position
The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. Summary This role will provide support to the tax department.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university
- Strong academic record (suggested minimum 3.0 GPA), with a bachelor’s degree emphasis in Accounting
- Incumbents at this level are in a learning process.
- Detailed instructions are provided for work assignments.
- Work is routinely checked and supervisor is readily available to answer questions.
- Immediate supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist tax department staff with various tax filings including income, sales and use, and property tax
- Research tax law and communicate finding to supervisors and customers
- Provide support to tax department staff on various routine tasks
