About The Position

We are seeking a Tax Intern who will work closely with the tax, accounting and finance teams, assisting with projects and activities focused on supporting the tax team with tax accounting (provision), tax compliance, cost savings initiatives and process improvement.

Requirements

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team oriented environment and a desire to work on challenging projects
• Interest in tax accounting and compliance
• Hard working, organized, detail oriented and deadline driven
• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in tax, accounting or related major

Responsibilities

• Assist with sales & use tax filings, including but not limited to implementation and utilization of new software to realize more efficiency in our current process
• Work with the team and cross functionally on data requests related to compliance
• Review Chicago personal property taxes paid and gather data necessary to file for refunds due to Company personnel no longer working within the Chicago city limits.
• Work closely with the tax team on various other projects including, but not limited to quarterly provision, sales and use tax, income tax, and unclaimed property
