About The Position
Tax Examiners are responsible for licensing/registration, collecting taxes and fees, and assisting taxpayers to ensure compliance with the applicable tax and registration statutes. Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. This Tax Examiner 2 position is for the Revenue/Compliance Division located in Las Vegas. Tax Examiners are responsible for assisting taxpayers to resolve account issues and to answer taxability questions over the telephone. The call center's function is to answer phone calls from taxpayers requesting assistance or guidance regarding their accounts or to answer general questions. The main purpose of the Tax Examiner is to quickly and accurately answer these questions or determine who may best answer the question and process the call as trained.
