About The Position
Are you a strategic tax leader ready to operate at the executive level? We are seeking a Tax Director who will report directly to the CFO and serve as the enterprise lead for tax strategy, compliance, and risk management. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on capital structure, growth strategy, and M&A initiatives. This position is hybrid in San Antonio and requires deep expertise in S-Corporation structures and complex, multi-state tax environments. Requirements
- Active CPA required
- Strong experience with S-Corp taxation
- 10+ years progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax
- Expertise in consolidated returns and complex tax research
- Experience leading tax planning for M&A transactions
- Strong tax provision and financial reporting experience
- Advanced Excel and tax systems proficiency
- Executive presence and ability to translate complex tax matters into business impact

- Master's in Tax preferred
Responsibilities
- Enterprise tax strategy aligned with company growth and transaction activity
- Direct advisory partnership with the CFO and executive leadership
- Federal, international, and multi-state income tax compliance
- Indirect taxes including sales and use and property tax oversight
- Tax accounting, provision preparation, reconciliations, and disclosures
- Audit management and regulatory risk mitigation
- Oversight of third-party payroll tax compliance
- Tax system optimization, automation, and data integrity
- Building and scaling the internal tax function as the company grows
