About The Position

Primary purpose:Responsible for the safe and efficient operations and maintenance of equipment within the assigned crude oil tank farm. Essential duties and responsibilities:Surveillance, operations and maintenance of crude oil facilities including tanks, pumps and valves. Follow all EHS procedures and practicesBe able to identify safety hazardsMaintain good standing with all required trainingParticipate in pipeline public awareness programs and emergency drillsRespond to emergencies such as spills, outages, power failures, etc.Launch and receive pipeline scraper pigsMaintain, repair, and operate valves and pumpsAssist with regulatory auditsRegular and predictable attendance.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have completed at least one (1) year at Pipeline Operator/Tank farm operator or industry equivalent
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by the company and a current, valid State driver's license
  • Subject to random drug testing
  • Must pass applicable OQ tasks as required
  • Proficient with assigned core computer programs
  • Follow work procedures independently on less routine tasks or more complex equipment/processes
  • Ability to work from written or verbal instructions
  • Ability to properly prioritize tasks
  • Identify problems
  • Have the ability to train others
  • Ability to speak and understand English.
  • Ability to work with others, takes direction from supervisor(s), focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
  • Primarily outside work
  • Frequently lift and carry, unassisted, items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Walking, climbing, standing, and sitting
  • Some inside work for training, working on computer
  • Shift work, alternating days, nights, holidays, weekends
