The Talent Systems & Benefits Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting both HR systems and employee benefits administration. This position acts as the primary contact for HRIS and benefits-related inquiries, providing frontline troubleshooting, guidance, and training to employees and managers. By ensuring data integrity, assisting with system enhancements, and facilitating benefit processes, the analyst helps maintain efficient and accurate talent operations across the organization.

Requirements

  • 0 - 1 years of experience as an HR coordinator, HRIS support specialist, or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with HR systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and comfort learning new technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service mindset and ability to work effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting HR leadership or working within HR Operations, Talent, or Total Rewards functions.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of employee lifecycle processes and HR data standards.
  • Experience with benefits administration.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee HRIS inquiries through Talent inbox and Jira ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot Level 1 issues such as login problems, navigation assistance, data updates, workflows, and basic transactions.
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 Talent Systems, Total Rewards, or other Talent functions as appropriate.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality by running audits, identifying discrepancies, and recommending corrections.
  • Assist with system testing, release validations, and documentation updates.
  • Provide user support and basic training resources to employees and managers on system functionality.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee Benefits inquiries through the Benefits inbox and other employee referrals.
  • Serve as main point of contact with our leave of absence vendor, ensuring accurate leave entries in both the vendor system and workday
  • Process monthly billing – collect, check for accuracy, submit bills for payment, follow up when necessary.
  • Conduct new hire (USA & Canada) benefits presentations.
  • Interaction with benefits consultants as main point of contact for document and brochure changes.
  • Assist with various benefits audits including but not limited to annual 401k audit, billing audits, and enrollment audits.
  • Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of annual / open enrollment activities and testing with the talent systems team.
  • Primary contact for benefits related to JIRA ticketing.
