About The Position

The Talent Specialist is a crucial role at Rogers-O'Brien Construction, responsible for assisting in the full-cycle recruiting process across all departments of the organization. This position will work closely with the Senior Talent Specialist to ensure an appropriate pipeline of candidates is maintained to sufficiently fill available needs. The Talent Specialist will be expected to assist in developing long-term recruiting strategies and develop pipelines of potential hires. This role is an integral part of the college recruiting process, partnering with schools and operations as the co-partner contact with the Senior Talent Specialist for college recruiting season. The Talent Specialist will be responsible for managing the first day orientation process with all new hires at all locations and managing the RO Mentor Program.

Requirements

  • Maintaining and updating job postings on multiple platforms, while ensuring all job postings accurately reflect job requirements, including education, certifications and experience levels.
  • Utilizing applicant tracking systems to manage passive, active, and college recruiting candidates.
  • Source candidates effectively and maintain a candidate database.
  • Coordinating and conducting first-round phone interviews for candidates.
  • Collaborating and consulting with hiring managers during the candidate selection process.
  • Managing the use of hiring assessment tools and communicating effectively with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Improving the recruiting and section process through data analysis and recommendations.
  • Developing long-term recruiting strategies and pipelines of potential hires.
  • Assisting in college recruiting, including managing college recruiting processes, related activities, and logistics.
  • Managing first day orientation process with all new hires at all locations and the RO Mentor Program.
  • Communicating effectively with candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting: Maintain and update job postings on multiple platforms, source candidates, maintain candidate database, coordinate and conduct first-round phone interviews for candidates, collaborate and consult with hiring managers during candidate selection process, coordinate and manage in-person interviews, consult and advise hiring managers on best interview practices, manage applicant tracking system, manage use of hiring assessment tool, and manage communication and recruitment process with candidates from sourcing to offer letter.
  • College Recruiting: Assist in managing college recruiting process, assist in related activities including coordination, scheduling, logistics, communication, and collaboration with colleges and universities, assist in collaboration with marketing to ensure career fair materials are available and consistent with RO brand.
  • Orientation/Onboarding: Manage first day orientation process with all new hires at all locations and manage RO Mentor Program.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by HR Manager.
