About The Position

We’re searching for a deeply technical Talent Sourcer to join our growing team and lay the foundation for world-class technical hiring from the ground up. In this highly impactful contract role, you’ll take the reins in proactively identifying and engaging exceptional passive technical talent—those "needles in today's technical haystack". Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping the caliber and culture of the team as we scale from zero to one. This is an on-site position based in Sunnyvale, CA, with flexible hours. The contract may transition to a full-time opportunity with strong performance.

Requirements

  • Deep experience sourcing for highly technical roles, specifically those aligned to our talent needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively find and engage passive, hard-to-access candidates within fast-moving technical markets.
  • Strong technical fluency and the ability to clearly communicate with and assess engineers and technical talent.
  • Creative, persistent approach to talent sourcing; skilled at leveraging emerging tools and unconventional methods to find hidden talent.
  • Experience building pipeline and talent operations from an early stage, with a high degree of ownership and attention to detail.
  • Excellent relationship-building and written communication skills.
  • Track record of working in startups, fast-growing teams, or environments with high hiring standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute creative sourcing strategies to unearth, engage, and nurture relationships with top technical talent—regardless of whether they’re actively looking.
  • Hunt for hard-to-reach, best-in-class candidates across niche and highly competitive talent pools, including data engineers, full stack and backend software engineers, endpoint and security researchers.
  • Partner closely with founders, engineering leaders, and future hiring managers to understand precise talent needs and help define the bar for technical excellence.
  • Develop pipelines of engaged, high-impact candidates and deliver a thoughtful, best-in-class outreach experience that reflects our values.
  • Leverage advanced sourcing methods, including open web search, online communities, events, referrals, research tools, and market mapping.
  • Track, analyze, and share market insights to inform our talent strategy and refine our approach as we build from scratch.
