About The Position

Discovering and attracting talented people that embody our culture and have what it takes to deliver one of a kind experiences to our members is at the heart of the Talent Recruitment Strategist. You’ll use your tenacious pursuit skills to find phenomenal candidates, through both conventional and innovative sources. As an evangelist of the Lake Trust Culture, you’ll engage and build connections with talent to understand their passion and interests and help to spark an affinity for all things Lake Trust. Build relationships with hiring managers and serve as a partner in understanding talent needs and proactively working to meet them through pipeline creation. You’ll be responsive to the big picture while keeping an eye on details to adapt and employ new strategies when needed.

  • Knowledge typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Psychology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience in sourcing, business development, recruiting, client management, candidate evaluation and/or interviewing required.
  • Must be a tech savvy individual who has a high degree of adaptability to adjust quickly to change and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • BE a Mentor – Provide mentoring to Level One (1) strategists.
  • BE a Partner – Partner with internal Hiring Managers to develop and execute talent acquisition/management strategies. Coordinate and execute the full life cycle of the recruiting process for managerial, professional level exempt and non-exempt positions. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers, HR business partners, vendors, and Talent Recruitment (TR) team to create a partnership that yields exceptional results. Effectively partner with the TR, Learning & Development, and Total Rewards to ensure all candidate/hiring manager coordination activities run smoothly and efficiently (job posting, candidate scheduling, job offer processing, on boarding, etc.
  • BE a Connector - Develop a thorough knowledge of Lake Trust business and culture in order to help candidates fully comprehend and embrace their potential relationship with the Credit Union. Provide candidates with a compelling story to help them understand how Lake Trust and their professional and personal passions may align.
  • BE an Experience Facilitator – Create, deliver and facilitate a candidate experience reflective of the Lake Trust brand that is positive regardless of candidacy outcome.
  • BE Insightful - Interview and gather insights about candidates to be presented to hiring managers through the use of phone interviews, in-person interviews, assessments, reviewing of resumes, and other methodologies. Organize and lead post-interview debrief sessions with interview teams and candidates.
  • BE an Analyst – Review performance of open requisitions and make modifications to selections plans to increase effectiveness.
  • BE a Communicator – Provide regular status updates to key stakeholders to ensure that they have insight into the selection progress and vacancies.
  • BE a Strategist - With an understanding of job responsibilities, business requirements and talent gaps, create and execute comprehensive search, recruitment, and selection plans.
  • BE an Anticipator – Through partnership with TR team and HRBPs identify pipeline generation needs and implement strategies to ensure pipelines are maintained for crucial and hard to fill roles.
  • BE an Informer - Stay in the know on recruiting trends, market and environmental factors that may influence talent attraction and techniques and proactively share this information with key stakeholders.
  • BE a Networker - Develop and maintain a network of internal/external contacts to help source high potential talent. Participate in industry professional organizations, universities, and trade associations to position Lake Trust in the market as resource for great career opportunities.
  • BE an Innovator – Use conventional recruiting methods and incorporate innovative sourcing strategies to identify and attract the very best candidates. Seek to continuously improve the methods and strategies used to attract talent to Lake Trust.
  • BE an Initiator – Recommend and implement enhances to the full life cycle recruiting process and individual searches projects that further both TR and organizational goals.
  • BE a Relationship Manager - Maintain accurate information on all candidates, searches, hiring manager interactions, and other recruiting activities while ensuring OFCCP compliance.
  • BE a Power User - Serve as an administrator and power user of the Applicant Tracking System. Recommend enhancements that provide more effective experiences for candidates, hiring managers, and users.
