Your Impact The primary purpose of this role is to execute global talent and performance initiatives that support Lowe’s business objectives and culture of winning. As part of the global talent management function, this position is responsible for developing, delivering, and continuously improving integrated talent management and performance development processes that enable strong organizational performance and sustainable talent pipelines. This role supports all core talent management areas, including career management, performance development, organizational effectiveness, talent assessment, talent planning, succession, leadership programs, and executive development. The position ensures performance development practices—including performance evaluation, calibration, goal setting, and ongoing performance management—are consistently delivered and aligned with Lowe’s Core Behaviors and ways of working. The Talent & Performance Management Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners, COE partners, and business leaders, providing guidance on effective, simple, and integrated talent and performance solutions that support business priorities. The role works in close partnership with the talent management leaders and function leads, as well as compensation, people analytics, HRIS, talent acquisition, associate learning, and culture, diversity & inclusion teams to ensure a cohesive and scalable talent ecosystem. This position leads discovery efforts, designs seamless solutions, and drives delivery of key talent and performance initiatives. The role continuously evaluates the effectiveness and value of talent and performance programs and processes, implements improvements, leverages automation, and establishes metrics to measure outcomes. Through strong partnerships and applied insights from the internal organization and external talent landscape, this role proactively supports both steady-state operations and evolving business needs while developing strong pipelines of talent with potential to grow at Lowe’s. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Human Resources, Business or related area or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • Master’s degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 5 Years Relevant work experience
  • 3 Years Relevant work experience Experience leading and consulting with HR partners and business partners on performance development process, programs and initiatives.
  • 3 Years experiencing leading performance development work
  • 3 Years Experience the development, delivery and administration of performance development process including annual evaluations, goal setting and managing performance
  • 1 Year Experience designing new/different HR process and programs, to be delivered for small to large scale size populations
  • 1 Year Experience in or partnering with HR COE functions
  • 1 Year Experience in project and program management
  • 1 Year Experience utilizing Workday or other HR management technology
  • 1 Year Experience in data analysis and interpretation, within an HR function
  • 1 Year Experience building success measures to support programs and initiatives within an HR function
  • Experience advising and consulting with senior business leaders

Responsibilities

  • Execute talent management and performance development initiatives that support Lowe’s business objectives, including career management, performance evaluation, talent assessment, calibration, goal setting, organizational effectiveness, talent planning, succession, leadership programs, and executive development.
  • Serve as an advisor to HRBPs, COE partners, and business leaders, providing guidance on effective and integrated talent and performance solutions.
  • Partner closely with compensation teams to ensure performance development practices support pay-for-performance philosophies.
  • Collaborate with the talent management leader and cross-functional partners including organizational effectiveness, leadership and executive development, people analytics, HRIS, talent acquisition, associate learning, and culture, diversity & inclusion.
  • Lead discovery, solution design, and delivery of talent and performance initiatives, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and value of talent and performance programs and processes, implement enhancements, utilize automation, and establish KPIs to measure outcomes.
  • Partner with HRIS and people analytics teams to design and deliver efficient, technology-enabled talent and performance solutions, including effective use of Workday.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of company priorities and HR focus areas, applying insights from the external talent landscape to inform work.
  • Use data and insights to provide meaningful analysis of the talent and performance landscape, identify strengths and opportunities, and recommend solutions to close gaps.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for talent management and performance development activities, advising on complex issues and supporting both ongoing operations and evolving business needs.
