The Director, Talent & Performance Management will lead and execute global strategies that drive organizational performance, employee engagement, and talent development. This role is responsible for designing and implementing frameworks, tools, and programs that enable a high-performance culture, foster employee connection, and build strong talent pipelines for future leadership needs. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead and create a matrixed, multi-business environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with Master's degree a plus.
  • 10 plus years of progressive HR experience, with expertise in performance management, engagement, skills-based workforce planning, and talent management.
  • Experience as a builder and innovator whose work impacts business results.
  • Track record of success as a coach and developer of people at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of technology platforms and data analytics.
  • Proven ability to lead global initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent PowerPoint, communication, change management, and project management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in OEM (original equipment manufacturing) fields and/or life sciences a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performance Management Set the strategy for enterprise-wide performance management frameworks, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cultural values.
  • Partner with Talent Partners, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Enablement, and business leaders to embed performance practices across the employee lifecycle.
  • Analyze global performance data to identify trends and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Develop toolkits, communications, and resources to support managers and employees throughout the performance cycle.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on talent strategies that enhance retention, performance, and culture.
  • Talent Management In partnership with SVP, Talent Management create global talent standard work such as talent reviews, and succession planning.
  • Partner with the HR Leadership team, especially the Talent Partners who support the Business Units, VP Total Rewards, and VP Talent Acquisition to create innovative initiatives that impact business results and strengthen Novanta’s unique culture.
  • Build a career architecture framework that enables employees at all levels to learn, grow, and exceed business and developmental goals.
  • Analyze talent and business data and metrics to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Learning, Development & Engagement Architect how learning, development and engagement come together to strengthen culture and business results.
  • Coach and partner with Learning and Development and Engagement leads to define and deploy targeted manager development programs aligned to the company's priorities and values.
  • Utilize AI tools and analytics to strengthen learning, development, and engagement strategies.
