This position is essential, meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123\: 1-46-01 & DAS Directive HR-D-11). What You'll Do as a Talent Management Administrator : Serves as assistant to Assistant Chief Human Resource Officer Plans, directs & administers all activities & initiatives related to Learning & Development, Classification & Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Workforce & Succession Planning, & Performance Management. Oversees the development & implementation of agency learning & development courses &/or programs; Ensures agency participation in programs & training efforts as directed by the Governor's Office. Manages classification & compensation activities to include development & review of class plan proposals & changes, classification plan compliance, position descriptions, job analysis, & selection criteria design & implementation. Oversees the development & implementation of ODPS's Talent Acquisition & Recruitment strategy to include collaborations with internal &/or external stakeholders on promoting positions through a variety of platforms. Oversees the development & implementation of ODPS's Workforce & Succession Planning initiative; Reviews division requests for posting & filling positions, staffing levels & proposed structural or organizational changes. Directs & oversees the administration of the agency performance management process; Ensures comprehensive training, support & resources are available to mangers & employees to assist with navigating the process. Establishes priorities & supervises subordinate supervisory personnel (e.g., provide developmental opportunities & work direction, coach staff to foster development, monitor staff activities to ensure quality customer service & information technology security, evaluate performance, approve section staffing levels, recommend discipline, pre-screen applications & participate in interviews).
