The Talent Development team, part of our Human Resources department, brings this value to life by creating engaging learning experiences at all levels of the organization. As a Talent Development Intern, you'll support the team in revamping one or more of our leadership programs. This hands-on role includes shadowing current training programs, reviewing eLearning content, refreshing training materials, and designing job aids that enhance the learner experience. This internship offers an opportunity to gain real-word experience in learning and development, instructional design, and leadership training - all while contributing to the growth of our people and culture.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled at CSU, Chico or Butte Community College majoring in Business, Communications, Psychology, or Agriculture Education required
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn adult learning models and other learning methodologies
  • Having an understanding or passion for leadership topics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and Canva
  • Excellent communication skills including presentation, written, and verbal
  • Ability to problem solve, develop improvements and/or recommend changes or alternatives
  • Demonstrate effective time management by organizing workflows and delivering projects on time
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently on development initiatives with attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Curate pathways of eLearning courses and training materials based on leadership competencies.
  • Develop job aids to supplement leadership courses.
  • Support the learning management system (UKG Pro Learning) UI launch.
  • Shadow and support new employee onboarding process and leadership trainings.
  • Prepare and present on leadership project at conclusion of the internship.
