About The Position

The Talent and Development Recruiter leads staff recruitment, onboarding, and professional growth initiatives. This position is ideal for a people-focused, strategic professional who enjoys both planning and hands-on implementation. You’ll design and execute recruitment strategies that build a diverse, high-performing workforce and create meaningful development programs that help employees thrive. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to ensure our workforce strategies align with organizational goals and values. From cultivating new hiring pipelines to shaping leadership training and career pathways, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our culture and employee experience.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in staff recruitment, training, or workforce development (nonprofit or youth-serving experience preferred).
  • Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, solve problems, and improve processes.
  • Experience with LMS and HRIS systems.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts that reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
  • Build partnerships with colleges, universities, community groups, and professional associations to expand talent pipelines.
  • Develop engaging onboarding and leadership development programs using adult learning best practices.
  • Support workforce planning, performance development, and succession initiatives.
  • Partner across departments to identify learning needs and create customized training solutions.
  • Champion inclusion, equity, and belonging in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
