About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist ("Especialista en Adquisición de Talentos") strategically executes the company’s talent acquisition initiatives. Primary duties will include sourcing and recruiting candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures, hosting and participating in career events, and facilitating the hiring process for exempt and non-exempt employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience. A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Ability to communicate and understand Spanish effectively is required.
  • Previous experience posting jobs on various platforms, including common job boards, social media, etc. is required.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite (i.e.: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc), and experience with an HRIS or ATS is required.
  • Enjoys meeting and building positive relationships with a broad variety of people of varying educational, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to build positive relationships quickly and work collaboratively with associates, leadership, and teams throughout the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload daily and is able to navigate successfully during periods of change.
  • This position will be on-site but will require travel to other local company properties in the San Diego area at least once per week on average.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive, and professional diplomatic attitude under stressful circumstances.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in talent acquisition, a similar position or experience within hospitality or similar industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies recruitment trends, generates supporting metrics, and consistently analyses to recommend improvements to talent strategy and recruitment efforts.
  • Deploys creative and effective recruiting methods and strategies as uniquely required for various roles.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications for vacant positions and together recommends the best strategy to fill.
  • Collect and maintain current information regarding departmental staffing needs.
  • Responsible for posting on Indeed, Handshake, LinkedIn, and other job board platforms.
  • Lead employer branding initiatives through social media platforms, networking events, and hiring events.
  • Organize and attend job fairs at the company’s properties and local recruitment events.
  • Recruits and interviews candidates for select, hard-to-fill positions.
  • Assesses candidate talent and makes recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Proactively sources to identify suitable active and passive candidates and demonstrates determination in engaging them through various sourcing channels.
  • Manages the development and updating of our talent pool of potential candidates.
  • Develop and utilize effective candidate screening methods and tools.
  • Manages the Applicant Tracking System (ATS); including posting and closing requisitions, identifies need for hiring manager productivity, etc.
  • Assists hiring managers with generating a requisition to open the vacant position on the company’s Career site.
  • Create and update job descriptions and job postings in ATS for new and current positions.
  • Enhances ATS efficiency by streamlining hiring processes, optimizing email templates, and providing training to current and new managers.
  • Has knowledge of and enforces all company, city, state & federal regulations that apply.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
