About The Position

Lila Sciences is building AI-powered autonomous scientific discovery infrastructure across life science, chemistry, and materials science. Our Autonomous Science Platform (ASP) integrates hardware, controls engineering, and experimental science to accelerate the pace of discovery. We're looking for a Contract Sourcer to be the top-of-funnel specialist for a team of two internal recruiters covering two core areas of the business: our Autonomous Science Platform (ASP), spanning Hardware, Controls and Engineering, Life Sciences Experimental, and Physical Sciences Experimental, and our Go-to-Market, Product, and G&A functions. One week you might be mapping the landscape for a senior scientific hire; the next you could be building a high-volume pipeline of engineers or screening applications for a business role. The pace is real, and the range of work is exciting. If you thrive with minimal direction, can switch gears without dropping quality, and treat sourcing as a craft rather than a checkbox, you'll fit right in.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in sourcing or recruiting with a proven track record of identifying passive candidates
  • Experience as a shared resource across multiple recruiters or business units; able to manage competing priorities and shift context without losing momentum
  • Depth in technical sourcing across engineering, science, and IT with the range to flex into business functions
  • Familiarity with biotech, life sciences, or deep tech; enough to read scientific resumes with credibility and engage candidates persuasively
  • Strong written communication; outreach and candidate notes should be concise and actionable
  • Highly organized and self-directed; able to manage multiple active search briefs with minimal oversight
  • Proficiency with Greenhouse and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for Lila's mission of accelerating scientific discovery through AI

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Gem or similar sourcing CRM platforms
  • Familiarity with AI-powered sourcing tools such as Juicebox
  • Active presence in talent communities or industry networks relevant to science and engineering

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain targeted pipelines for scientific, engineering, and business roles against clear search briefs; keep slates organized and deliver consistent updates to your recruiting partners
  • Identify and engage passive candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, and other tools; outreach should be concise, personalized, and mission-aligned
  • Represent Lila at recruiting events and career fairs; network, engage candidates in person, and support event logistics
  • Do light market research to surface competitive insights including compensation norms, talent density, and adjacent talent pools
  • Screen inbound applications, identifying candidates worth advancing
  • Provide structured fit notes highlighting strengths and gaps to support fast recruiter handoff.
