Talent Acquisition Onboarding Specialist
About The Position
Care Initiatives is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team! The Onboarding Specialist will be responsible for assisting new employees as they join the company. They will assist with all aspects of the pre-employment process including follow up on new hire paperwork, reference checks license/certification verification and scheduling first day orientation. The Onboarding Specialist will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to assist with creating the best candidate experience throughout the onboarding process. This is a hybrid role that will require you to work out of our corporate home office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Requirements
- Proven ability to communicate successfully and empathetically in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
- Proficient with ATS/HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in human resources or related field - Preferred
- Recruiting experience in the healthcare industry - Preferred
Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing new hire paperwork along with collecting reference checks, license/certification verification, TB test results, I9 documents, and other documents based on position requirements.
- Coordinates and schedules new employee orientation and ensure employee has all information needed to start successfully.
- Details progress updates with extreme accuracy in HRIS and ATS systems.
- Efficiently convert applicants to hire removing barriers in the hiring process.
- Conducts and maintains accountability of required pre-employment documentation with candidates to ensure all paperwork is collected in a timely manner.
- Update progress with extreme accuracy in HRIS and ATS systems and set up electronic employee files.
- Assist with recruiting and interviewing on an as needed basis.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with hiring managers and all levels of management.
