About The Position
As part of NBT’s Internship Program currently enrolled college students have the opportunity to explore the talent acquisition field in NBT Bank. Interns will gain practical experience, work on meaningful projects, and learn from experienced professionals in the Talent Acquisition field. Talent Acquisition Intern: Partner and participate in HR and Talent Acquisition projects. Assist with Applicant phone interviews and scheduling manager interviews. Learn the Offer and negotiation process, process background checks. Partner and build relationships cross divisionally. Assist with employee onboarding and orientation. Support employee development Programs
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field Human Resources, or Business Administration.
- Strong academic record, minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
- Prior work and volunteer experience desired.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to take on challenges.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, accounting software, Workday, etc. with the ability to create spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and Word documents.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills.
- Travel within or between locations.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Partner and participate in HR and Talent Acquisition projects.
- Assist with Applicant phone interviews and scheduling manager interviews.
- Learn the Offer and negotiation process, process background checks.
- Partner and build relationships cross divisionally.
- Assist with employee onboarding and orientation.
- Support employee development Programs
- Assisting with daily tasks.
- Project support – collaborating on team projects, assisting with ongoing projects by providing research, creating reports, and/or supporting team members.
- Contributing ideas during brainstorming sessions or team meetings.
- Preparing presentations by creating slides, reports, or any materials for internal presentations.
- Learning and Development – shadowing professionals through observation of full-time employees to understand work process.
- Attend training sessions and participate in workshops and learning new tools and systems.
- Special Assignments.
- Other duties as assigned.
