About The Position

As a Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic, full lifecycle recruiter responsible for delivering exceptional hiring outcomes across a portfolio of issue advocacy, public policy, and civic engagement organizations within the Stand Together Community. In this role, you will function as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders—driving qualified applicant volume, unlocking creative talent alternatives, and delivering a high touch, candidate centric hiring experience. This position is ideal for a seasoned recruiter who thrives on outbound sourcing, consultative partnership, and hiring for complex, mission critical roles. Your recruiting portfolio will primarily support organizations such as Americans for Prosperity, yes. every kid., and other Principle Based Management (PBM) organizations advancing impact through advocacy, policy, and civic engagement. This role can be performed remotely or from our Arlington, Virginia headquarters.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of successful experience with a focus in recruitment, sales, business development, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to creatively source, attract, and close top tier‑ talent—you are a true hunter!
  • The gravitas and business acumen needed to drive optimal hiring outcomes, be an equal business partner for senior leaders and executives, and be thought leader in the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Sound judgment in making talent, process, and compensation recommendations grounded in market data.
  • Successful experience driving applicant volume with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Lever, and other talent acquisition platforms.
  • A significant social media presence and a willingness to leverage your marketing skills and audience to promote your open roles.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship building skills
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–15%, including regular visits to Arlington, VA

  • Experience directly working in or recruiting for public policy advocacy organizations, grassroots and/or political campaigns, government affairs teams, or think tanks.
  • An understanding of the broader liberty movement, right-of-center advocacy organizations, and the U.S political landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand workforce needs, role requirements, and business strategy.
  • Draft and optimize SEO friendly job descriptions, build recruiting strategies, and execute the ‑full cycle‑ recruitment process.
  • Serve as a thought partner on talent strategy, role scoping, and hiring priorities.
  • Engage in heavy outbound sourcing to find and attract talent for nuanced and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Deliver a high touch, personalized candidate experience through proactive communication (phone, email, digital channels).
  • Conduct structured behavioral based and skills based interviews to assess competencies, values, and culture alignment.
  • Develop additional talent pipelines by building relationships with industry leaders, training organizations, professional associations, and networking groups.
  • Represent Stand Together and your portfolio at in-person networking events including social events, career fairs, and conferences.
  • Apply labor market insights to inform sourcing strategies, compensation recommendations, and hiring decisions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within ATS systems across candidates, searches, and recruiting activities.
