Due to the expansion of flight activities, we are seeking a determined and highly motivated Tactical Controller. As a Tactical Operations Controller, you'll take charge of the Tactical Phase of flights - from the very start to the completion of post-flight operations. Your role will include full overview of the fleet on a Tactical level by adhering to the required procedures. Rotating schedule - 10 hours each shift, 4 days on, 4 days off. Throughout your career with Vista America, you will have the opportunity to work across all facets of flight operations. Starting as a Tactical Controller with potential to progress to other roles within OCC and get more involved in flight following, fleet scheduling, operational feasibility, or as a Duty Manager, overseeing and ensuring smooth aircraft operations of the entire company. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a course of study/major in business, aviation, or operations management; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of an organization
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations pertaining to Part 91, 121, 125 or 135 airline operations preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and aptitude to learn customized company software programs
  • Knowledge of core job competencies including, but not limited to, flight planning, international operations, weather, and ATC

Responsibilities

  • Updating and maintaining the daily tactical log
  • Exercise Movement Control and Flight Tracking with precision
  • Handling irregular operations swiftly, communicating delays, diversions, last-minute changes and other potential schedule disruptions
  • Monitoring crew briefing acknowledgements and making crew activations / wake-up calls as applicable by relevant AOC`s procedures
  • Monitoring ATFM restrictions and Flight re-routing
  • Managing Ground arrangements and permits crucial to the day's flight, inlcuding close-out messages and ETA updates to CBP
  • ATS FPL management and weather monitoring
