Requirements

  • A college degree in a human service field is preferred, along with experience providing community-based services to individuals with disabilities or seniors.
  • Your background should include at least two years of comparable life or work experience.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle are essential for transporting clients and attending appointments.
  • This role demands flexibility, as you may occasionally need to work outside of normal hours.
  • Strong time management skills are crucial to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • You must maintain confidentiality and adhere to State/Federal regulations while promoting a respectful, safe environment for clients.
  • Exceptional communication abilities are paramount, enabling you to connect with clients and their families using their preferred language and communication style.
  • Your empathetic and humble approach will foster trust and support in every interaction!

Responsibilities

  • Assisting participants with housing searches and completing necessary applications while following MRC policies and timelines.
  • Attending appointments, help set up apartments to match participant preferences, and ensure they have essential items by purchasing furniture and coordinating utility services.
  • Maintaining regular updates with case managers and attend transition meetings to support participants before their discharge.
  • Tracking all communications, documenting direct services, and ensuring timely submission of reimbursements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and teamwork to enhance your skills and client impact, all while embracing a fun and flexible work-from-home culture.
