This role will partner closely with our FP&A team to own & maintain the Workday Adaptive system. This role plays a crucial part of our financial operations. This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices—including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, Lambertville, or San Francisco—or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning (configuration, reporting, modeling, forecasting)
  • Experience building and maintaining data integrations between financial planning tools and other enterprise systems
  • Proficiency in database management and data mapping techniques
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and reporting/dashboard development
  • Understanding of financial data modeling and forecasting methodologies
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Workday HCM, general ledger platforms, and related financial software
  • Understanding of FP&A processes, budgeting, and planning cycles
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger concepts
  • Familiarity with internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to collaborate across departments (Finance, IT, Operations)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner of Workday Adaptive Planning, providing daily system support, administration, and maintenance
  • Oversee system performance to ensure financial operations run efficiently and accurately while supporting scalable business growth
  • Manage modeling activities including changes to hierarchies, dimensional fields, and business rules
  • Configure and maintain business process workflows, custom fields, and integrations
  • Identify areas for system optimization and process improvements
  • Own and maintain data integrations for Adaptive Planning
  • Maintain data integrity and enforce data mapping with enterprise systems
  • Create, design, and maintain reports, dashboards, and calculated fields based on stakeholder requirements
  • Partner with FP&A, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to implement application improvements and align solutions with business requirements
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, translating technical concepts into clear business value
  • Troubleshoot system issues through partnerships with IT and resolve operational concerns
  • Partner with stakeholders on system audits and maintenance of controls and documentation for compliance
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, user manuals, and training materials
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on Adaptive Planning best practices, reporting tools, and system functionalities
  • Support teams through recurring planning operations and analyze technical opportunities to improve processes
