About The Position

Dexis Professional Services (Dexis) is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer III for an opportunity within the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), supporting the Countermeasures & Risk Technology Services (CRTS) Support contract. The purpose of this contract is to provide advanced engineering, integration, and technical security support for mission-critical countermeasures, intrusion detection, access control, and monitoring systems that protect U.S. diplomatic facilities and personnel worldwide. This full-time position is located in the Arlington, VA metropolitan area and is required to be on-site full time. This position is not telework eligible. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. The position is contingent upon contract award. 10-25% CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required for program coordination. Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/TS-SCI security clearance are mandatory for this role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related field (or 5+ years of additional related experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in system engineering, cybersecurity, and system integration.
  • Proficiency in system design, network security, and security monitoring solutions.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, C/C++, PowerShell, C#, or VB.
  • Experience with database technologies: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience with system hardening, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Knowledge of secure software and system lifecycle management.
  • Experience assisting in hardware and firmware integration for secure system deployment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, high-security environments.
  • Experience supporting custom hardware integration for security applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Cybersecurity Certification: Security+, CEH, or GSEC.
  • Computer Aided Design experience and/or 3D printing experience.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and operating U.S. Department of State Special Countermeasures Systems.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and integrating Department of State IDS and ACS solutions.

Responsibilities

  • The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and integration of security and monitoring technology solutions in support of a federal agency's mission-critical operations.
  • This individual must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in system engineering, cybersecurity, and software/hardware integration, with expertise in secure system design, network security, and monitoring technologies.
  • The candidate must have a strong foundation in secure system architecture, vulnerability management, and compliance with federal security standards.
  • Additionally, proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, C/C++, PowerShell, or Bash, along with experience in database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server), is required.
  • This position demands strong technical problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a high-security environment.
