About The Position

Dexis Professional Services (Dexis) is seeking a Field Service Technician III – HVAC/Power for an opportunity within the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), supporting the Countermeasures & Risk Technology Services (CRTS) Support contract under CMP/ECB-CDE. The purpose of this contract is to provide advanced technical field leadership and support for HVAC, power, acoustic, and RF countermeasure systems that protect U.S. diplomatic facilities and personnel from technical surveillance threats and other technical security vulnerabilities. This full-time position is located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and is required to be on-site full time, except as permitted under situational telework agreements. This position requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. The position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Current U.S. Government final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required security clearance/access approvals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in security studies, management studies, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to understand and explain Intelligence Community standards, Overseas Security Policy Board (OSPB) technical and physical security standards, and agency regulations.
  • Ability to interact with groups and individuals outside own organization and participate in interagency working groups.
  • Strong written, electronic, and verbal communication skills, including technical and report writing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 products (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated experience working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and maintain strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • The Technical Policy and Risk Analyst III leads efforts to research, evaluate, and determine the impact of emerging technologies on established security practices.
  • This role is responsible for updating technical security policies and recommending appropriate countermeasures to address evolving threats.
  • The analyst oversees working groups to develop mitigation strategies and standard operating procedures, and advises senior agency security managers and program officials on the implications of new technologies for the protection of people, facilities, and information.
  • The analyst participates in Department and interagency policy development working groups, including the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the Overseas Security Policy Board (OSPB).
  • The analyst represents the Office of Security Technology (ST) or the Office of Technology Innovation and Engineering (TIE) during the review and generation of Department of State policy, Foreign Affairs Manuals (FAM), and Foreign Affairs Handbooks (FAH).
  • The analyst also coordinates with subject matter experts to respond to requests from Foreign Service posts for technical security exceptions and provides technical guidance and interpretation of countermeasures-related policies and standards.
  • The analyst is responsible for working with data throughout its lifecycle, including collection, management, analysis, reporting, and secure disposition, to support policy development and risk management activities.
