About The Position

Systems Infrastructure Engineer The Opportunity: As a Systems infrastructure engineer, you know how to provision on-premise data center environments for computer networking, storage, and virtual networks—ultimately, how to “harness the cloud.” We’re looking for a systems engineer who understands DevOps, infrastructure, and data center operations like you to support our clients as they modernize their IT systems and meet their most challenging missions. As a systems infrastructure engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll work closely with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configuration for modern solutions. You’ll sharpen your skills within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks, use cloud service providers to further your clients’ meaningful missions, and engineer on‑prem data center infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and enterprise networking components. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience administering cyber-secure on‑premise data center environments, including Windows and Linux server management, virtualization platforms, such as VMware and Hyper‑V, storage systems, and network configuration
  • 5+ years of experience engineering and integrating hardware solutions designed to support mission‑critical workloads, including server architecture, high-availability systems, and specialized computer hardware
  • 2+ years of experience with CI/CD automation, Docker, and Kubernetes development
  • 2+ years of experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) or system management processes including configuration management, change management, and continual service improvement
  • Experience with patch management, system hardening, and monitoring and maintaining physical and virtual infrastructure
  • Knowledge of scripting, IaaS automation, and application deployment automation
  • Top Secret clearance
  • DoD CompTIA 8570 level 1 Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with building secure Cloud Infrastructure Solutions
  • Experience in developing Platform as a Service capabilities for a multi-tenant environment
  • Experience working with mission critical applications and infrastructure
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Ability to think analytically through complex solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
