The Infrastructure Systems Engineer focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure that supports cloud services like Azure and Microsoft 365 (M365), optimizing connectivity, ensuring security (Azure AD, firewalls), managing hybrid environments (on-premise/cloud), and troubleshooting complex M365 issues for seamless user experience. This role will be responsible for Microsoft 365 Administration and will serve as a key escalation point for our Tier 1 team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft365, including Intune and Entra
  • 5+ years of experience within a ticket-based helpdesk or service desk
  • 3+ years network support and configuration
  • Experience with Microsoft Forms and Power Automate
  • Familiar with Microsoft Power BI
  • Familiar with ITSM best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, document and optimize business processes
  • Comfortable and proficient with best practice documentation standards
  • Strong collaborative mindset to work across teams and with both junior and senior resources
  • Organized, self-starting and relentless in pursuing effective and efficient solutions
  • Be comfortable with a fast-paced, growth-oriented culture that changes and achieves quickly

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a HIPAA compliance environment, preferred
  • Understanding of cloud security

Responsibilities

  • Administration and technical support of the M365 suite and business applications.
  • Point of contact for the Tier 1 team for M365 as well as business applications.
  • Administrative and technical support of Meraki networks within Somatus locations.
  • Support security compliance efforts in the M365 suite and business applications.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving escalation tickets from Tier 1.
  • Create SOPs and Knowledge Based articles for Tier 1 and end users.
  • Responsible for testing and validating new hardware builds (mobile and computer), manage Meraki network and equipment and perform regular compliance and maintenance activities.
  • Work with Tier 3 engineers to improve processes and systems.
  • Create and maintain technical and user-facing documentation.
  • Deliver automated monitoring, remediation and configuration solutions.
