The Air Traffic Solutions Systems Engineering Department is seeking systems engineering interns in Orange County, California area. Our unique portfolio of automation, surveillance, navigation, and landing solutions is improving safety and efficiency across more than two-thirds of the world's air space. In this intern role, you will have opportunities to learn and support the design, development, testing and monitoring of a Satellite Based Augmentation System for navigation. You will support basic systems engineering development on a multi-discipline team.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • General working knowledge of AIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with and/or course work in Global Positioning System (GPS).
  • Perl, C/C++/C#, Matlab, Python.
  • Academic projects and examples of innovation of new and emerging technologies.
  • Course work and examples of Technical Writing skills.
  • Fundamental engineering skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written as well as thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.)
