Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll become a key contributor where your skills and input make a big difference. In this role, you’ll work alongside a team designing, developing, and testing embedded software and development tools. Candidates are expected to be adaptable to change, determined to accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions, enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment. As an intern in this organization, you will get to work on the cutting-edge technology around autonomy and unmanned aircrafts. Candidates are also required to have excellent communication skills to communicate technical issues and status in both written and oral form to customers. The candidate must be adaptable to change, determined to accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions, enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing software using the C or C++ languages

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, demonstrate, develop, and maintain embedded software for unmanned aircraft products.
  • Integrate software into complex aircraft systems
  • Develop and conduct complex tests and debug systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
